Soils in the Earth system; global biogeochemical cycles as revealed by variation of soil processes at the landscape scale, including atmospheric deposition to soils, disturbance gradients, and the contribution of weathering processes to surface water chemistry in small catchments. Exploitation of novel isotopic tools to address interesting questions in these areas.
