Master of Science - Land Resources and Environmental Sciences
The graduate curricula in Land Resources and Environmental Sciences is designed to be adapted as a unique program for each graduate student. Research is directed toward improving understanding and management of landscapes at multiple scales through integrated and multi-disciplinary efforts. Understanding is developed through course work tailored to the student and the problem-oriented projects developed in collaboration with faculty. Current active research projects involve crop diversification, integrated management of invasive plant species of cropland and rangeland, nutrient management, bioremediation, precision farming, mine land reclamation, restoration ecology, microbial ecology of natural systems, chemical fate and transport, water quality, environmental sciences, remote sensing applications, and climate variability.
