Nutrient Management Modules
A self-study course from the MSU Extension Service Continuing Education Series
SEARCH Nutrient Management Modules
Nutrient Management was selected in a June, 2001 MSU Extension survey as the topic that the most Montana Extension Agents and Rocky Mountain Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) would like to learn more about. Soil scientists in the Dept. of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences created fifteen Nutrient Management modules, covering such topics as Soil Sampling and Laboratory Selection, Plant Nutrition and Soil Fertility, and Cycling and Fertilization for each of the essential plant nutrients. Each module includes a quiz that can be taken to enhance your learning, and can be used to obtain Rocky Mountain CCA self-study credits through the American Society of Agronomy. There is a total of 25 CEUs in NM available for CCAs. These modules have been printed and hard copies are available for free from MSU Extension Publications. The modules can also be accessed below as PDF files.
Note: These Nutrient Management Modules are currently not approved for CCA continuing ed credits, until we make sure they are all up to date. Please let us know if you are interested in taking these quizzes for CEU, and which are of the highest interest. Contact Clain Jones (email@example.com) or Kathrin Olson-Rutz (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you.
