Soil and Water Management  was selected as the second most important topic in a June, 2001 survey of Extension Agents and Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs). Soil scientists in the Dept. of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences created these Soil and Water Management modules, covering such topics as basic soil and water interactions, salinity and sodicity issues, soil erosion, chemical transport, and water use efficiency. Each module includes a quiz that can be taken to enhance your learning, and we hope to have them again available (within a year) to use towards Rocky Mountain CCA self-study credits through the American Society of Agronomy. Printed copies are available for free (with small shipping fee) from MSU Extension Publications, or can be accessed below as PDF files.

Note: These Soil & Water Management Modules are currently not approved for CCA continuing ed credits, until we make sure they are all up to date. Please let us know if you are interested in taking these quizzes for CEU, and which are of the highest interest. Contact Clain Jones (clainj@montana.edu) or Kathrin Olson-Rutz (kathrin.olson@montana.edu). Thank you.
