Miranda instructs courses for MSU's online Masters in Environmental Science program, and provides research support for a Montana based public health initiative (funded by the Montana Healthcare Foundation). She received her legal qualifications and worked as a health lawyer in Australia before moving into research roles in the US.  Miranda also has a research affiliate position with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale University, for her work as an associate investigator on an international women's reproductive health study (funded by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council), and she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Community Memorial Health System in Ventura County, California.
